Snowplanet is excited to announce the launch of the 'Snowplanet Summer Fun Series' for 2012. This competition series involves freestyle ski, freestyle snowboard, ski race and some fun alternative events that everyone can join in on! All competitors are encouraged to enter the series... it doesn't matter how good you are, or how old you are, snowsports are for everyone!
General Information
The Snowplanet Summer Fun Series is open to everyone, so come along and give it a go!
Prices
Please note that the entry prices for the competition exclude the participants' Snow Pass for entry onto the snow.
Single Event - $20 (includes entry into each of the competitions on this event date)
Entire Series (All three events) - $40 (includes entry into each of the competitions on all three event dates)
Night Pass - $39 for Adults, $29 for Children/Students (Valid from 4pm-10pm on event dates)
Rental Equipment - $32 for Adults, $25 for Children/Students

* Age groups are decided based on the birthdate of the participants on the date of Event One (21st January, 2012). Participants are only permitted to enter the competition in one division.
Points System (Updated the day after each event)
The Snowplanet Summer Series is all about 'having a go' and having FUN! Therefore, you earn more points by entering as many events as you possibly can!
Points available for entering Events:
- 1 Event = 1 Point
- 2 Events = 2 Points
- All 3 Events = 5 Points
Points available for placing in Event competitions:
- 1st Place = 5 Points
- 2nd Place = 4 Points
- 3rd Place = 3 Points

Please note that the allocation of points for entering events will appear on the final Competition Results Table on Monday 19th March, 2012.

Fun Event - Bring Your Own 'Inflatable Snow Vehicle' Race
Freestyle Event - Slopestyle (Jumps and Rails)
Event 2 - Saturday 18th February, 2012 (Start - 6pm) COMPLETE
Ski Race Event - Giant Slalom
The Giant Slalom event will consist of two timed runs per competitor if there are less than 20 athletes, or one timed run per competitor if there are in excess of 20 athletes.
Fun Race Event - Bring Your Own 'Inflatable Snow Vehicle' Race
This event proved to be very popular! Learn from your mistakes last time, and bring an awesome inflatable device to take control of this race!
Freestyle Event - Rail Jam
The Freestyle component of this event of the Summer Series will involve Snowplanet's first-ever Rail Jam!
Each group of athletes will have a 20 minute jam session to impress the two judges! With the ski and snowboard events running simultaneously, this promises to be a very entertaining and exciting event for everyone involved!
